Lunar New Year Disco Party returns for its 4th annual edition.

After three consecutive sold-out shows in Toronto and Halifax, Halifax’s own selector Swee comes back with his deepest crates—digging into Cantonese and Mandarin disco, rare dance cuts, and high-energy selections built strictly for the floor. Expect fearless rhythms, heavy grooves, and nonstop movement. Music rooted in Chinese culture, but made for everyone who loves to dance.

For this Toronto edition, we invite Chinatown Records 華埠錄音 aka Yiuyiu瑤瑤, based in Manhattan Chinatown.

Chinatown Records 華埠錄音 is a homegrown, community-driven project rooted in NYC’s Chinatown. DJ historian Yiuyiu 瑶瑶 takes on her childhood name to care for and activate an archive of over 35 record, CD, and tape collections inherited from her family and neighbors. Community-taught and community-powered, Yiuyiu finds the most joy steering karaoke dancefloors on the streets of Chinatown and training the next generation of DJ historians—inviting people of all ages to go back-to-back with the songs we all grew up loving.
Along the way, Chinatown Records 華埠錄音 continues to evolve as a living archive of the people we love—those who carry this music, memory, and energy forward together.
