SALO / LATIN CORE: DJ SOSA RD ☆ VLZQUES

After Fuchs2's first season of Latin Core club night in 2025, we are back with the new season.

On Thursday, February 19, we continue to bring Latin American genres like bachata, cumbia, reggaetón, dembow, baile funk, and more, which will be blended with techno, hard drum, trap, and contemporary electronic and bass music. We start at 22:00, so come early! In a new format, in a cozy atmosphere of Salo on Thursdays.

In the first Latin Core of the year, we are inviting DJ SOSA RD, a Barcelona-based Dominican producer and DJ, who is shaping the current club scene in Spain. His mix for NTS Radio was selected by DJ Mag in the list of best mixes of 2025. Always connecting his experiences in the subversive culture of the early raves with the political ethos of techno or the way of perceiving rhythms, partying, and dancing typical of Caribbean culture, which is a mix of indigenous heritage, African diasporas, and European influences. This is his first time playing in Prague.

DJ Sosa RD's releases can be found on El Cuarto Elástico (Dominican Republic), TraTraTrax (Colombia), International Chrome (Germany), Promesses, Cuntry Club (France), or Noise Pollution Recording and Offline Meeting Point (Spain).

Vlzques [Velázquez] is the stage name of DJ, music journalist, curator, and artist manager Krištof Budke, founder of the Swine Daily web-magazine and F2’s series Latin Core. From working as a rap A&R manager at Universal Music Slovakia to his dedication to underground artists from all across the globe, he is known for his wide musical scope. His music selection is typically full of experimental avant-garde club music from Latin America, alternative reggaeton, dembow, RKT, trap, and distorted baile funk subgenres.
