Laura BCR's ambient techno comes on with a rumble. It sends shockwaves through the floor, enveloping listeners until it swallows them whole. Taking her name from the now-shuttered Berlin community hub and record store Bass Cadet Recordstore, the French artist now channels her wide-ranging taste and keen sense for curation into her DJ sets and productions, as well as into her role as a founder of the label, event organization and agency On Board Music. Laura's DJ sets are known for their transportive, atmospheric qualities and a sound that layers deep techno and dubbed-out ambient. Honing her unique style through years in the underground rave circuit, she's carved out her own lane in the scene, and she continues to push boundaries and deepen her sonic explorations through her residency on Refuge Worldwide and on the dance floor.
Complimenting her taste as a selector, BCR's own ambient techno productions are characterized by shimmering, undulating synths and subtly shifting drum patterns—a mix that makes them primed for dilating time on bleary-eyed dancefloors. The hypnotic qualities of her tracks have caught the attention of labels like SoHaSo, Semantica, and Auxiliary, and in 2023, her EPs How do I get to know you and Human Behavior were released on Konstrukt and Live at Robert Johnson, the legendary Frankfurt venue's own in-house imprint.

フランス出身のDJ/Producer ”LAURA BCR”。その名は、かつてベルリンに存在したコミュニティ拠点兼レコードショップ〈Bass Cadet Records〉に由来する。彼女のDJセットは、深みのあるテクノを基調にダブやアンビエントの要素を織り交ぜたスタイルで知られ、アンダーグラウンド・テクノ・シーンでの長年の経験を通じて独自のスタイルを磨き上げてきた。ベルリンのオンラインラジオ〈Refuge Worldwide〉でのレジデンシーをはじめ、ダンスフロアの現場でも常に境界を押し広げ、自身のサウンドの探求を続けている。また、PolygoniaやEfdemin,Dorisburg,GiGi FM 等が所属するレーベル兼イベント・オーガナイゼーション／エージェンシー〈On Board Music〉を自ら設立。選曲家としてのセンスを反映するように自身のアンビエント - テクノ作品も〈SoHaSo〉〈Semantica〉〈Auxiliary〉といったレーベルからも注目を集めている。2023年には〈Konstrukt〉と、フランクフルトの伝説的クラブ「Robert Johnson」が運営するレーベル〈Live at Robert Johnson〉から、それぞれEP『How do I get to know you』『Human Behavior』をリリースしている。

Mari Sakurai is a DJ based in Tokyo.
With techno as her core, she freely navigates through various genres, establishing her position as a pioneering figure in Tokyo's dance music scene with her powerful and thrilling play style.
She energetically performs at a wide range of events, from underground parties to outdoor festivals, and is active on platforms such as Whole Festival, Boiler Room, MUTEK, Rinse FM, NTS Radio, and Refuge Worldwide.Since 2020, she has been involved with the queer rave "SLICK," since 2023, she has been active with "KILLIAN," a party seeking the new era of dance music, and starting in 2024, she serves as an organizer/resident DJ for "PYRO," a party featuring young DJs from the local scenes across Japan.

テクノを軸に多様なジャンルを自在に行き来し、パワフルでスリリングなプレイスタイルで東京のダンスミュージックシーンを牽引している東京拠点のDJ。アンダーグラウンドパーティから大型フェスまで幅広く出演し〈Berghain〉〈Whole Festival〉〈Boiler Room〉〈MUTEK〉〈Rinse FM〉〈NTS Radio〉〈Refuge Worldwide〉など国内外で精力的に活動。2020年からクィア・レイヴ〈SLICK〉に参加し、2023年には新時代のダンスミュージックを探求するパーティ〈KILLIAN〉のメンバーとしても活躍。さらに2024年からは、全国各地の若手DJをフィーチャーするパーティ〈PYRO〉のオーガナイザー／レジデントDJを務めている。
