My Friend... Colored Craig

The "My Friend" series kicks off the Spring Season with a very special guest... Colored Craig

Difficult to put into words just how special Craig is and to quantify the impact on the LA house music scene, especially as he is now moving on from LA and going off to New York City. We have been truly blessed here in LA to share the dance floor with him, to have gone to events and dance classes he's organized and to have heard his curation of records throughout the years.

This My Friend is particularly special because it will likely be one of the last times Craig will play in LA as a local, and what better way to send him off than to have him play and dance with us for 6 hours.

My Friend is a series dedicated to shedding light on deep cuts, giving artists the opportunity to reframe how they play, to spread their arms and give us a wide breath of music. I have been wanting Craig to play a long form set for me for a while now and the stars are finally aligning. When we had our conversation about what the music curation is like, and I mentioned playing music not just for the dance floor but also play us your left field stuff, those records that don't get played out, the ones you keep at home... He looked at me and said seriously, "Left field stuff idk?... Hey, what you see is what you get, this is my thing and this is what I'll bring." Since that initial conversation I had the pleasure of shooting some photos and catching up with Craig post mini tour, he's been crafting his set for us very meticulously, and like everything he does, bringing the utmost intention.... and even some left field bangers ::)

It brings me great joy to have Craig, come hang with us and enjoy him in a cozy environment with a superb custom sound system set up for hours of pleasant listening, and dancing.
