Detroit Love completes its Brooklyn weekend with a daytime rooftop session at Superior Ingredients, opening the second chapter of the takeover in a setting shaped by daylight, open air, and extended musical flow. Where Saturday focuses inward, Sunday expands outward — allowing the music and the crowd to move at a different pace while remaining grounded in Detroit’s influence.
The series is rooted in the vision of Carl Craig, whose work as an artist and label founder has long connected Detroit’s musical heritage to global dancefloors. His approach emphasizes breadth, experimentation, and continuity rather than rigid definitions, and that philosophy guides the shape of the Sunday program. Craig returns for the rooftop session with a set designed to breathe, adapting his sound to the space and the arc of the afternoon.
Joining him is Moodymann, a central figure in Detroit house whose output draws deeply from soul, jazz, blues, and Black American musical traditions. Known for his distinct stance within dance music culture and a catalog that spans Planet E, Peacefrog, and Mahogani Music, his performances balance looseness with intent, making him a natural presence in a daytime environment.

Dennis Free brings a contemporary Brooklyn perspective, blending classic house with percussive club sounds and faster rhythmic frameworks, shaped by his role within the Level III Collective.
